Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Draw Elsa Frozen 1

Step 1: Start by drawing a circle near the top half of the page. This will be a guide for the top part of Elsa's head. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide to help you learn how to draw Elsa's head and face later on.

Draw Elsa Frozen 2

Step 2: Under the circle, draw an arc similar to the letter U as a guide for the lower part of Elsa's head (her jaw and chin). Both of the shapes combine to form the guide for this Frozen character's head.

Step 3: Draw two long, curved lines below the head as guides for Elsa's neck and shoulders.

Step 4: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the entire head shape, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines a bit so that they contour to the shape of this Frozen character's head. These will be construction lines that will help you when learning how to draw Elsa's facial features later on.

Step 5: Draw two small shapes sitting on top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line. These are guides for Elsa's eyes. The shape of the eyes are similar to half circles.

Step 6: On either side of the head, draw a curved line as a guide for Elsa's ears.

Step 7: Now learn how to draw Elsa's hair guides. Draw the first part of the guide for Elsa's hair on top of the head. Draw a long arc on the top right side of the head, then draw another arc on the top left side of this Frozen character's head.

Step 8: Now draw the bottom part of the guide for the hair, which will help you learn how to draw Elsa's braid later on. This guide consists of two curved lines that start on the lower right side of the head, and then come to a point below the shoulder.

Step 9: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have learned how to draw the basic shape of Queen Elsa from Disney's Frozen. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

Step 10: Now learn how to draw Elsa's eyes. Tighten the outer shape of the eyes and make the shapes point toward the center of the face. Draw a thick, curved line near the middle for this Frozen character's eyelashes.

Step 11: Inside each of Elsa's eyes, draw a circle for the irises. Inside each iris, draw tiny circle to represent glare. Draw a bigger circle in the middle of the iris and shade it in for Elsa's pupils.

Step 12: On either side of the vertical construction line and above each eye, draw a long, curved shape for Elsa's eyebrows. The eyebrow on the left is higher above the eye than the eyebrow over the right the eye. This give Queen Elsa a more playful look.

Step 13: Now learn how to draw Queen Elsa's nose. Draw it right on top of the vertical construction line and near the bottom of the original circle. The bottom of the nose is similar to the letter V, with the right line being a bit longer. Then draw a couple of small, curved lines on the sides for Elsa's nostrils.

Step 14: Draw Elsa's lips under the nose just below the main circle guide. First draw a curved line for the mouth. Then draw Elsa's upper lip as a line with two bumps. Draw the lower lip at the bottom as a curved line.

Step 15: Use the shape of the head as a guide to draw Elsa's face. Simply darken the lines on the right side, the bottom and the left side up to the ear.

Step 16: Now learn how to draw Queen Elsa's hair. Her hair is tricky, so it's divided into four steps. First draw the top right side using the initial line as a guide. Draw the hair using a series of curved lines to create three big clumps of hair and a smaller clump in the front. Draw Elsa's hair around the ear too.

Draw Elsa Frozen 17

Step 17: Now draw the hair on the top left side the same way. Draw the clumps of this Frozen character's hair using curved lines. Use the initial line as a guide. The clumps of hair on this side don't really connect. Draw the hair around Elsa's ear too.

Draw Elsa Frozen 18

Step 18: Use the curved line on the sides of Elsa's hair as guides to draw her ears. Draw a curved line on the lower left side of the head for the start of Elsa's braid. On the lower right side, draw the top part of her braid by using the initial shape as a guide. The braid consists of curved lines for the weaved effect. Draw one curve at a time to get it right and stay inside the shape of the initial guide line.

Step 19: Finish drawing Elsa's braid by continuing down the shape of the hair guide, adding curved lines that weave into each other. At the bottom of the braid, draw a pointy shape for the loose bit of hair at the end.

Step 20: Follow the guides and darken the lines to draw Elsa's neck, shoulders and the top part of the arms.

Step 21: Draw two curved lines across Elsa's shoulders for the top part of her dress. Draw these lines behind the braid. Within the shape of her braid, draw a few snowflakes. Don't overthink Elsa's snowflakes. They're just small shapes with six points on each.

Step 23: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You've learned how to draw a finished inked drawing of Queen Elsa from Disney's Frozen! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Elsa drawing.

Final Step: For a completely finished drawing of Queen Elsa, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color her hair light yellow. You can give her some light brown streaks if you'd like. Elsa's eyebrows are brown. Her skin is peach, but if you don’t have peach, improvise and use yellow-orange or light brown. Experiment! The eyeshadow on her eyelids is purple, and her lips are red. Add a little pink to her cheeks. Her eyes, dress and snowflakes are light blue. That’s it! You have now learned how to draw Queen Elsa From Disney's Frozen.
