Below you can watch a NEW step-by-step tutorial with NARRATED steps:

The following is an older video tutorial:

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching so that it's easy to erase if you make a mistake.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 1

Step 1: To draw Jasmine, start with an egg shape that points down in the middle of the page. This is the basic shape for Jasmine's head.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 2

Step 2: Below the egg shape, draw three curved, wavy lines. These will be the basic shapes for Princess Jasmine's neck and shoulders.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 3

Step 3: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the egg shape, one vertical and one horizontal. When drawing the lines, bend them so they follow the contour of the egg shape. Draw two smaller lines in between the horizontal construction line and the bottom of the egg. These will be construction lines that will help you place Jasmine's facial features later on.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 4

Step 4: On top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line, draw two ovals with pointed ends for Princess Jasmine's eyes, like footballs. Draw the oval on the right smaller because of perspective and should make sure it is grazing the vertical construction line.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 5

Step 5: Now draw guides for Jasmine's hair. Simply draw a long curved line on the left side that goes from her head to the top of her shoulder. Add another smaller curved line on the right side of Jasmine's head.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 6

Step 6: That's it for the initial shape of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin! You have the basic shape for Jasmine, so now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 7

Step 7: Darken in the shape of Jasmine's eyes and draw thick eyelashes. Also draw a small curve above each of Jasmine's eyes to represent eyelids.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 8

Step 8: Finish Princess Jasmine's eyes by drawing a series of three circles inside of the eye shapes, one inside the other that will represent her iris, pupil and glare. Shade in her pupils.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 9

Step 9: For Princess Jasmine's nose, draw a line that starts above the right eye, grazes the vertical construction line and curves out before ending at the top of the middle horizontal line. Draw a tiny curve on the left side for her nostril.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 10

Step 10: Draw Jasmine's lips by using a series of curves right on top of the horizontal line and below her nose. Her upper lip is similar to a wide letter M with a curve underneath it. Draw two wide letter U's on top of each other to make Jasmine's lower lip.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 11

Step 11: The hair is tricky, so this section about how to draw Jasmine's hair is divided into two parts. First, darken the sides of her hair using the guides created earlier. Then draw two curved lines that begin at the vertical construction line and come outward. Then draw another line on the left side of Jasmine's face.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 12

Step 12: Before finishing Jasmine's hair, skip ahead to her crown. Draw a circle that is surrounded by a curved line for the jewel. Then, using the top of the egg shape as a guide, draw two lines on the sides of the jewel to indicate Princess Jasmine's headband.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 13

Step 13: Finish drawing Jasmine's hair by adding a curved line on top of her head. Draw two more curved lines near the bottom near the left shoulder.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 14

Step 14: Jasmine's eyebrows are partially hidden by her hair, so just draw what can be seen. Draw her eyebrows with thick curved lines.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 15

Step 15: On the left and right side of Jasmine's face, draw in an angled curve to represent her big earrings. The one on the right should begin at the horizontal construction line.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 16

Step 16: Tighten the shape of Jasmine's face by using the egg shape as a guide. To draw her cheek, make sure to dip the line in toward the right eye a little then back out.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 17

Step 17: Draw a couple of curved lines around Jasmine's neck to create her necklace. Then darken in her neck and shoulders.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 18

Step 18: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

How to Draw Jasmine Step 19

Step 19: For a more finished, inked look, carefully go over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Princess Jasmine! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Jasmine drawing.

How to Draw Jasmine Final Step

Final Step: For a completely finished Princess Jasmine drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color Jasmine's hair and eyebrows black. Her eyes are brown, and her lips are red. Her hair tie, headband and jewel are light blue. The jewel has a little dark blue, too, and her eyelids are light brown. Jasmine's skin is a dark peach color. If you don't have dark peach, improvise and use light brown or yellow-orange. Experiment! That's it! You now have a completed drawing of Princess Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin.
