Step 14: Darken the lower, left side of the head to create the top lip. Make the line curvier at the corner and extend it toward the neck for the mouth. Inside the neck, curve the line downward to create Bart Simpson's smiling mouth. Curve the line back to the left out of the neck to finish with the smiling mouth.

Step 17: Use the top portion of the initial lines as guides to draw the rest of Bart's head. Darken the left edge of the guide but give it an extra bump above the eye. Start adding the small, triangle-like spikes along the top edge of the guide for the hair. Bend the individual spikes slightly to the right to represent them blowing back in the wind. Bart Simpson has exactly nine spikes for hair. Draw three spikes to the left of the vertical construction line and six to the right. Now darken the right side of the guide to finish the shape of the head.

Step 29: Draw a small circle under the board below the left foot for the first wheel. Add a smaller circle inside for the axel nut and a line on the left to give the wheel thickness. To the left of the wheel, add a couple more curved lines for the visible part of the truck. Add the visible part of the front wheel on the other side using more short, curved lines. Draw a small circle near the back of the board for the other wheel. Use a series of curved lines to make the wheel thicker and to add the wheel on the other side.

Final Step: Color your Bart Simpson drawing using color pencils, markers or even crayons! Use yellow for the skin. Use orange or red-orange for the shirt. Color Bart's shorts and shoes blue. Leave the circle on the shoes and the soles blank. You can color Bart's skateboard deck however you'd like, but on The Simpsons TV show, it's usually green with a red stripe. Color the wheels and visible part of the trucks gray. Don't forget to pause the video after each step to draw at your own pace.
