Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

 

Step 1: Start with a small circle near the top of the page. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide for the top part Clawdeen Wolf's head.

 

Step 2: Draw a small V-shaped arc under the circle as a guide for the jaw/chin. These two shapes combined make the guide for Clawdeen Wolf's head.

 

Step 3: Under the head, draw two curved lines as guides for Clawdeen Wolf's neck and shoulders. Don't make the lines too far apart, otherwise she'll end up with wide shoulders.

 

Step 4: Next, draw two intersecting lines across the entire head, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines a bit so that they contour to the shape of the head. These will be construction lines that will help you place Clawdeen Wolf's facial features later on.

 

Step 5: Draw two small shapes similar to footballs as guides for Clawdeen Wolf's eyes. Draw them sitting on top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line. The shape on the right should be a bit smaller because of perspective.

Step 6: Draw a couple of triangle-like lines on top of the head as guides for Clawdeen Wolf's ears. The lines are similar to upside-down letter V's. The one on the right should be a bit smaller because of perspective.

 

Step 7: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape of Monster High's Clawdeen Wolf. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

 

Step 8: Clawdeen Wolf's hair is a bit tricky, so it's divided into four parts. First draw the large clump of hair that comes down across the left side of the head. The clump of hair is made up of two wavy lines. The lines start at the top and then curve to the left side and end together in a swirl above the shoulders.

 

Step 9: The second part of Clawdeen Wolf's hair consists of a couple of lines on the right side of the head. Draw a short curved line above the eye on the right. Then add a wavy line below it that ends below the shoulder on the lower right side. The rest of Clawdeen Wolf's hair will be finished in a later step.

 

Step 10: Draw Clawdeen Wolf's eyes by darkening the initial football-like shapes. Draw a few pointy lines around the eye for the eyelashes. Above the eye on the left, draw a curved line for the eyebrow. The eyebrow on the right is behind the hair and therefore not visible.

Step 11: Inside each eye, draw a half circle for the irises. Inside each iris draw a tiny circle off to the side to represent glare. In the middle of each iris, draw a big circle and shade it in for Clawdeen Wolf's pupils.

 

Step 12: Draw Clawdeen Wolf's nose. Draw it under the horizontal construction line but above the bottom edge of the initial circle. The nose consists of a small curved line on the right and a couple smaller lines on the left for the nostril.

 

Step 13: Draw the top part of Clawdeen Wolf's lips as wavy lines that end in a point on the left side. The lips should be right under the nose, outside of the initial circle. Draw a couple of triangle-like shapes underneath for the fangs.

 

Step 14: Add Clawdeen Wolf's bottom lip under the wavy shape. The bottom lip consists of two curved lines on top of each other.

 

Step 15: Draw the side of Clawdeen Wolf's face by using the initial lines as guides. Add the choker necklace on her neck by drawing a couple of curved lines. Draw two circles inside the lines for the studs. Darken the line for the neck.

Step 16: Back to the hair! Draw a short curved line on the top left side of Clawdeen Wolf's head for the top left part of her hair. Next draw a longer line on the right side for the other side of her hair. This line should be wavy and form a point with the line drawn earlier.

 

Step 17: Darken the triangle-like shapes on Clawdeen Wolf's head but make them curve more to create the ears. On either ear, draw a few curved lines to indicate her earrings.

 

Step 18: Create Clawdeen Wolf's jacket collar by drawing a few curved lines under her neck. These lines form three spikes on the outer portion of each collar. Darken the lines for the shoulders too.

 

Step 19: Add Clawdeen Wolf's necklace on her chest by drawing a couple of ovals inside each other. Connect the ovals to the neck by drawing a couple of lines.

 

Step 20: Draw a couple of curved lines between the ears for the top part of Clawdeen Wolf's hair. Draw a big curved spike on the left side and a smaller one on the right side.

Step 21: Finish up Clawdeen Wolf's hair by drawing a few curved lines and spikes on either side of the head. There is a single curved spike on the left side along with a long wavy line. There should be two curved spikes on the right side, but they should be small.

 

Step 22: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of Clawdeen Wolf from Monster High. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look, or continue to the step below to go for a more finished look.

 

Step 23: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then erase all of the pencil marks. You now have a finished inked drawing of Clawdeen Wolf! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Clawdeen drawing in its entirety.

 

Final Step: For a completely finished Clawdeen Wolf drawing, you have to color it. You can use anything you want: markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color her hair dark brown and her skin light brown. The earrings, studs on the choker and necklace are yellow along with her eyes. Clawdeen Wolf's eye shadow is purple ,and her lips are pink. The choker and jacket are black, but the jacket's collar is gray. Her shirt is pink with black stripes. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Clawdeen Wolf from Monster High.
