Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw the Phineas and Ferb character Phineas. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!

Intro: When learning how to draw the Phineas and Ferb character Phineas, start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don't press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Draw Phineas Step 1

Step 1: To draw Phineas, start with a slightly tilted upside-down triangle on the top part of the page. This will be the basic shape for Phineas' head. Directly underneath that triangle, draw another thinner, smaller triangle with its point pointing up. This will be the basic shape for Phineas' body and will help you when you're learning how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's face and body details later on.

Draw Phineas Step 2

Step 2: Next, draw a squared-off letter C coming out from the top left of the body triangle. Draw a small line to the left of this shape. This is a construction guide for the arm on the left. Draw a similar shape, this time vertically coming off of the top right of the body triangle. This is the construction guide for the arm on the right.

Draw Phineas Step 3

Step 3: On the ends of each of the construction guides for Phineas' arms, draw small circles. On the circle for the left hand, draw four small lines, and on the right hand circle draw three. These are basic construction guides for Phineas' hands, which will help you when learning how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's hands later on.

Draw Phineas Step 4

Step 4: Under the body triangle, draw two lines going vertically downward. At the end of each line draw two small ovals. These will be Phineas' legs and feet.

Draw Phineas Step 5

Step 5: On the top, middle part of the head triangle, draw two circles that overlap each other like Venn diagrams. These will be the eyes of this Disney Channel cartoon character.

Draw Phineas Step 6

Step 6: Inside the head triangle on the left side, draw a shape similar to half a crescent moon to as a basic construction guide for Phineas' smile. Just inside the right side of the head triangle, draw a backwards C shape. This will be Phineas' ear.

Draw Phineas Step 7

Step 7: That's it for the initial sketch of Phineas from Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb cartoon! You have the basic Phineas shape, so now you will go in and tighten your drawing. When learning how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character from this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

Draw Phineas Step 8

Step 8: Start by tightening the shape of Phineas' eyes, but make sure to not darken the part of the left eye that is behind the right eye or Phineas' head. Draw a small oval in the right eye and a half oval in his left for his pupils. Near the top left of each of these shapes, draw in two small circles to represent the glare in his eyes. Two small crescent moons floating above his eyes make his eyebrows.

Draw Phineas Step 9

Step 9: When you darken in the shape of Phineas' head, taper in the left side of the triangle toward the mouth shape and the right side of his head toward the ear shape. Round out the upper right and bottom corner of his head triangle (leave his nose pointy). Darken Phineas' ear and draw in a number three within to indicate the inside of his ear.

Draw Phineas Step 10

Step 10: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's mouth. Darken the shape of Phineas' mouth and draw his upper and lower sets of teeth. Draw a small curve inside for his tongue and a line from his upper set of teeth to his lower set to indicate the other side of his mouth.

Draw Phineas Step 11

Step 11: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's hair. Phineas' hair is a series of spikes on the right side of the head that look like the top of a palm tree. Draw three long spikes on top and three smaller ones on the bottom.

Draw Phineas Step 12

Step 12: Now learn how to draw this Phineas and Ferb character's arms. Tighten the shape of Phineas' right arm by drawing a bump on top of the shirt (to create the collar), thickening his arm and drawing his fingers using the guides drawn earlier.

Draw Phineas Step 13

Step 13: Again using the guides set earlier, draw in the left arm as you did with the one on the right. Draw a short vertical line in his palm to finish off his hand.

Draw Phineas Step 14

Step 14: Draw in Phineas' T-shirt and make it slightly wider at the bottom. Draw a stripe on each of his sleeves and three stripes on his torso.

Draw Phineas Step 15

Step 15: Darken in his shorts by splitting it in half for his legs and drawing a pocket on the right side of it.

Draw Phineas Step 16

Step 16: Thicken the shape of Phineas' legs. Tighten the ovals for his shoes, and draw soles on the bottom, a curve in front and a rectangle shape on top for Phineas' shoelaces.

Draw Phineas Step 17

Step 17: That's it! You now have a nice sketch of Phineas from Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb cartoon. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

Draw Phineas Step 18

Step 18: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Phineas! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete learning how to draw the Phineas and Ferb character Phineas.

Draw Phineas Final Step

Final Step: For a completely finished Phineas drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color Phineas' skin a light pink or tan color, and color his hair and eyebrows red. The inside of his mouth is a dark brown, and his tongue a dark pink. His shirt is a light yellow, and the stripes are orange. Phineas' shorts and shoes and eyes are blue. That's it! You have learned how to draw the Phineas and Ferb character Phineas.
