How to Draw Cyborg

Use the video and step-by-step drawing instructions below to learn how to draw Cyborg from Teen Titans. A new cartoon drawing tutorial is uploaded every week, so stay tooned!

Intro: Start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Draw Cyborg 1

Step 1: Start by drawing a big circle near the top of the page. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide for the top of Cyborg's head.

Draw Cyborg 2

Step 2: Under the circle, draw an angled line as a guide for Cyborg's jaw and chin. The line bends on the sides near the top to create the jaw and at the bottom to create the wide chin. This line, along with the circle on top, form the guide for the head.

Draw Cyborg 3

Step 3: Next, draw two intersecting lines across Cyborg's head, one vertical and one horizontal. Bend the lines a bit so that they contour to the shape of the head. These will be construction lines that will help you place the facial features later on.

Draw Cyborg 4

Step 4: Draw two small half-circles as guides for Cyborg's eyes. Draw them sitting on top of the horizontal construction line and on either side of the vertical construction line. The eye on the right should be a little smaller because of the perspective.

Draw Cyborg 5

Step 5: On either side of the head, draw two curved lines as guides for Cyborg's ears. The line on the right should be smaller because it's a small cybernetic ear.

Draw Cyborg 6

Step 6: Under the head, draw two short lines as guides for the neck. Cyborg has a wide neck, so don't place these lines too close together.

Draw Cyborg 7

Step 7: That’s it for the initial sketch! You have the basic shape of Cyborg from Teen Titans. Now go in and tighten your drawing. From this point on, press harder with your pencil in order to get darker lines and a more defined sketch.

Draw Cyborg 8

Step 8: Draw Cyborg's eyebrows above of the half-circles. The shape of the eyebrows should cover up a small portion of the eyes. They should be thick, and they should come to a point on the sides.

Draw Cyborg 9

Step 9: Use the initial half-circle shapes as guides to draw Cyborg's eyes. Darken the outline of the shapes but make them a bit more angular. Add and extra line under the eye on the left. Add a small half-circle inside the eye on the left for the pupil. The eye on the right is cybernetic, so it doesn't have a pupil.

Draw Cyborg 10

Step 10: Draw Cyborg's nose between the eyes as an angled line. Use the initial construction lines as guides for the placement of the nose. The line for the nose starts on the eyebrow on the right and angles down and to the right.

Draw Cyborg 11

Step 11: Draw Cyborg's mouth under the nose as a long line. The line should be tilted a bit to give him a smirk. The mouth should be placed just outside of the lower edge of the main circle. Add another curved line above the mouth for the upper lip.

Draw Cyborg 12

Step 12: Use the curved lines on the sides of the head as guides to draw Cyborg's ears. Darken the line on the right and add a few lines within the shape to give it structure. Darken the line on the right too but make it more angular because this ear is cybernetic.

Draw Cyborg 13

Step 13: Draw the rest of Cyborg's head by using the initial shapes and lines as guides. Simply darken the lines as you follow the path of the guides. Make the right side of the head a little wider.

Draw Cyborg 14

Step 14: Add the metal plates inside Cyborg's head by drawing a few lines. Draw a curved line on the top left side of the head, then darken the initial vertical construction line at the top. Then draw another line that goes from the nose down the head and curves across the chin.

Draw Cyborg 15

Step 15: Use the lines under the head as guides to draw the thick metal section under Cyborg's head. Draw a couple of curved horizontal lines to create this shape.

Draw Cyborg 16

Step 16: That’s it! You now have a nice sketch of Cyborg from Teen Titans. You can stop at this quick drawing for a rough, sketchy look or go for a more finished look by continuing to the step below.

Draw Cyborg 17

Step 17: For a more finished, inked look, carefully draw over the final sketch lines with a pen or marker. Wait for the ink to dry, and then get rid of every pencil mark with an eraser. You now have a finished inked drawing of Cyborg! You can stop here or go to the final step to complete your Cyborg drawing.

Final Step: For a completely finished Cyborg drawing, you have to color it. You can use markers, color pencils or even crayons! Color his skin brown. Draw a few squiggly shapes inside the sections of the head using blue. The rest of these sections are light blue. The eyebrows and space under the eyes are black. The eye on the right is red. The pupil on the left is gray as well as the rest of his metallic pieces. That’s it! You now have a completed drawing of Cyborg from Teen Titans.
