How to Draw Baby Groot Full Body Guardians of the Galaxy 10

Step 10: Lightly sketch the eyeballs inside the head as two small ovals. Use the initial construction lines as guides for the placement of the eyes. When you get the size and shape of Baby Groot's eyes right, darken the lines. As you darken the lines, make the sides of the eyes pointier. Add a couple of curved lines around each eye for extra detail on the skin.

Step 11: Inside each eye, draw two tiny circles to represent glare. Inside each eye, draw a couple of curved lines similar to parentheses ( ) for the pupils. Now shade the inside of the pupils lightly. Don't shade inside the tiny circles that represent glare. Above each eye, draw a short, curved line for Groot's eyebrows.

Step 12: Draw the mouth under the eyes. Use the initial construction lines as guides for placement. The shape of the mouth should be similar to a thin letter D on its side. Draw two curved lines inside Groot's mouth: one at the top for the teeth and one at the bottom for the tongue.

Step 13: Draw the rest of Baby Groot's head using the initial shapes as guides. Darken the outer edges of the initial guides to create the shape of the head. Make the top half of the head a bit wider than the guides. As you darken the top part, follow the basic path of the guide but make the edge more jagged and bumpy. Make a few sections on the head a bit taller to give the top edge a more bark-like look.

Step 14: Add a few more lines at the top of the head to emphasize the bark-like texture. Don't draw these lines too far down toward Baby Groot's face. They should stop at the edge of the initial circle.
