Intro: When you learn how to draw Darth Maul, start off with a pencil sketch. In the beginning stages, don’t press down too hard. Use light, smooth strokes for sketching.

Step 1: First learn how to draw Darth Maul's head shape. Start by drawing an circle near the top half of the page. This will be a guide for Darth Maul's head. The circle doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s just a guide.

Step 2: Under the circle, draw an arc similar to the letter V as a guide that will help you learn how to draw Darth Maul's jaw and chin later on. Don't make the arc too pointy. Notice that the bottom part is rounded. Both of the shapes combined form the guide for Darth Maul's head.

Step 3: Next, draw a vertical line that splits Darth Maul's head shape in half. Draw two small lines in the space between the bottom of the main circle and the bottom of the arc. The top line should be smaller than the bottom line, and they should break up the space into about three equal parts.

Step 4: On either side of the vertical construction line, draw two small shapes as guides for drawing Darth Maul's eyes. The shape of the eyes are similar to footballs. Draw the eyes low inside the original circle, close to the edge.

Step 5: Learning how to draw Darth Maul's horn guides is a bit tricky, so it's divided into two steps. First draw the guides for the horns on the top front of this Star Wars Sith Lord's head. Draw the horn in the middle right on top of the vertical line, high up on the head. It should be similar to a diamond. Then draw the other two horns on either side of the middle horn. These two are shaped like triangles, and the tips should graze the edge of the main circle.
